You are invited to come experience a new and exciting martial arts sporting format! Face off against other athletes and see who is the fastest in your club (and maybe the world, too).

For the first time, athletes from the Netherlands and Israel will face off against each other in a battle of speed and decision making. What’s the difference here from other competitions? Athletes don’t need to leave their club in order to compete in our international competition – it all happens online (apart from the performance part, of course). This saves a lot of time and money compared to standard international martial arts competitions. Not only that, but it is open to athletes from all martial arts.

Whether you’ve come to compete or to spectate, there is something for you – just be ready, and stay focused because anyone can win at any time!

For those of you who do not know, Athletic Martial Arts is a technology-based sport that involves measuring physical and cognitive elements of various martial arts techniques. Techniques are measured by performing a strike on our Smart Paddle (CS-Paddle). The CS-Paddle has signal lights that indicate to the athlete when to strike, which allows us to measure skills such as response time, decision making, stamina, and power.

○ Response Time Seminar
Want to understand how you can take your martial arts to the next level? This (mini) seminar will take you inside your brain and give you that competitive edge on and off the mats.


○ The Netherlands vs. Israel
Represent your club and your country.


○ Club Champion
Become the champion of your club.


○ Big Boss Challenge – South Korea
Winners from each category within the club will get the opportunity to challenge a South Korean Champion in a virtual game – BIG BOSS. Become a legend!


⚫ COMPETITION TYPES AND RULES:
○ The Fastest Roundhouse Kick

Rules:
• One Round

• Technique: Roundhouse Kick

• Distance between CS-Paddle and Athlete: relative to the height of the athlete

• 5 Strikes

• 2 Fouls. Fouls include:
– Stepping over the starting line
– Striking before the signal
– Wrong side
– Incorrect form

•The final score is based on the average of the top three strikes.


○ The Fastest Backhand Punch

Rules:
• One Round

• Technique: Backhand Punch

• Distance between CS-Paddle and Athlete: 100cm

• 5 Strikes

• 2 Fouls. Fouls include:
– Stepping over the starting line
– Striking before the signal
– Wrong side
– Incorrect form

• The final score is based on the average of the top three strikes.

There is a maximum of 25 athletes permitted per the above categories


⚫ PRIZES
○ Winners of the International Tournament will receive:

1st Place – €150 Gift Card and a professionally edited winners video
2nd Place – €75 Gift Card
3rd Place – €50 Gift Card

Note:
International Winners are determined by taking the first placed athlete from each competition type and calculating the average from their performance in all competition types. So you gotta be fast in every technique if you want to take home the big prizes!


○ The club with the best overall average will receive:
1 Free CS-Paddle (Value €500)


○ Club Champions will receive:
1st Place: Gold Medal,
2nd Place: Silver Medal
3rd Place: Bronze


○ Successful Big Boss Challengers will receive:
Opportunity to become the next Big Boss!

⚫ FINAL RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT
The final announcement of results for the international competition will occur on 31st December 2019.

Club Champions will be announced on the day of the competition.


⚫ EQUIPMENT
• Ludus Alliance members must arrive with their personal ID Wristband.
• Non-Members will receive an ID Wristband on the day of the competition (in cases where registration did not occur beforehand) and must return them at the end of the competition.
